My school’s jazz band played this last year, now we’re playing it again this year and I love it so much! So glad they kept it in the same key as the original I also love Wasson’s Caravan (AKA the one in whiplash), too bad it’s too hard for me as I’ve tried playing 1st trumpet before lol

I played this on my Last concert I got the tenor solo but I play alto sax I had to figure out the notes to the solo and I did it was fun

The bass trombone part (4) is soooo fun but I get a bit dizzy with all those pedal Bbs 😅

Played 4th trumpet as a freshman, my brother played 1st as a junior, we both agree this was the most fun song we did in jazz. We took it on tour with us around the district's elementary schools
